Calgary Community Food Map: A Resource for Everyone

Calgary Community Food Map: A Resource for Everyone

At Bridge to Oasis, we believe in making food security information accessible, visible, and easy to use. That’s why we’re pleased to highlight the Calgary Community Food Map — a powerful tool that brings together free and low-cost food resources across the city in one interactive, accessible place.

What is the Calgary Community Food Map?

  • The map is an online, publicly accessible directory showing food resources across Calgary — things like food banks, hamper programs, community pantries, grocery delivery services, Good Food Box pick-up locations, and more.
  • It’s part of the City of Calgary’s “Access to Food” initiative and is regularly updated as new information becomes available.
  • You can view it by quadrant, zoom into your neighbourhood, or filter by the kinds of food supports you need.

How you can use it (or help improve it)

  • Explore — Visit the map here -> https://goo.gl/maps/3xxUhLZp6cLwgjAq6?g_st=aw
    and zoom into your area of the city.
  • Filter by the types of food programs you’re looking for (e.g. food bank, hamper, delivery).
  • Verify before you go — hours, availability, or eligibility rules may change, so call ahead where possible.
  • Contribute — If you know of a food resource that’s missing, or see incorrect details, you can suggest edits by contacting the City of Calgary (or email robert.dickinson@calgary.ca
    as listed in CORE Alberta’s resource listing).
  • Share — Pass this map along to your networks, neighbours, and community groups. The more people know about it, the more useful it becomes.

Food security is a community issue. By equipping everyone with better information and bringing visibility to vital supports, we move closer to ensuring that no Calgarian has to worry about where their next meal will come from.
